Susan Cowsill and the Todd Wolfe Band headline the Lehigh Valley Concert for the Cause, a benefit show for the victims of Hurricane Sandy, 6:30 p.m. Nov. 30, Musikfest Café, ArtsQuest Center, SteelStacks, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem.
The artists and ArtsQuest are partnering with American Bank and the Red Cross for this benefit concert. American Bank has offered to match donations to American Red Cross Disaster Relief up to $50,000 through Dec. 31.
ArtsQuest will donate 100 percent of proceeds from the Lehigh Valley Concert for the Cause.
Thanksgiving is in one week and already it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
That's especially true in Bethlehem, the Christmas City.
And it's no more so than at ArtsQuest's SteelStacks on the city's southside.
During the past two decades, Christkindlmarkt Bethlehem has delighted almost one million guests from near and far with its mix of gift ideas, old-world charm and holiday cheer.
The documentary film, "My Perestroika," will be screened, followed by a question and answer session with director Robin Hessman, 7 p.m. Nov. 19, Oechsle Hall auditorium, Room 224, Lafayette College, Easton. The event is free and open to the public.
Poet-photographer Marilyn Hazelton presents "Sustaining The Soul," 9 a.m. - noon Nov. 17, FloreAnt Projects Gallery- Studio, 215 Main St., Emmaus.
A selection of Hazelton's original photographic work combining tanka poetry, a Japanese five-phrase poetic form, and images is on display at the gallery Nov. 17- Dec. 15.
Photographers, painters, writers and students are invited to participate. A goal of the workshop is to deepen participants' insights into their own art and that of other artists and to discover new visual and textual meaning.
Dexter F. Baker's mantra was "challenge the status quo."
Baker's words rang out at the launch party for the iDeX Creativity and Innovation Lab at Wilbur Powerhouse, Lehigh University, Bethlehem.
The launch party was one of the last major events attended by Dexter "Dex" Baker, 85, who died Nov. 1.

Hector Rosado and his Latin Orchestra, also known as Hector Rosado y Su Orq Hache, performs in the "Upstairs Cabaret Series," 7:30 p.m. Nov. 16, Rodale Community Room, Miller Symphony Hall, 23 N. Sixth St., Allentown.
Since his birth in Corozal, Puerto Rico, 49 years ago, Rosado has become a renowned percussionist, specializing in Latin music, especially drums, congas, timbales and bongos.
Rosado and his family moved to New York in 1964, and five years later moved to Pennsylvania.
