Ann Marie Meckes, 69, of Whitehall, died Feb. 10, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
She was the wife of the late Allen F. Meckes Jr.
Born Aug. 14, 1948, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Frank S. Sr. and Mary (Seiler) Oncheck.
She a travel agent for AAA of the Lehigh Valley for 25 years before retiring in 2010.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Coplay, and a senior vice president of Egypt VFW Post 7293 Auxiliary.
John J. Kutzko Jr., 84, of Macungie, died on Feb. 10, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He and his wife Laura (Ross) Kutzko were married 30 years last July 23.
Born Dec. 28, 1933, in Nesquehoning, he was the son of the late John J. Sr. Anna (Marouchoc) Kutzko.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War era.
He owned and operated the former J.J. Kutzko Photography, Allentown, for 40 years before retiring in 2015.
Lorraine E. Hunsicker, 80, of Fogelsville, formerly of Schnecksville, died Feb. 8, 2018, in The Lutheran Home at Topton.
She was the wife of the late Dean R. Hunsicker, who died in 2001.
Born March 19, 1937, in Schnecksville, she was the daughter of the late Harvey C. and Clara H. (Mertz) Remaley.
She and her late husband co-owned and operated the former Dry Cell Battery Sales, and Hunsicker’s Meats and Provisions, both in Schnecksville, for many years before retiring.
Michael P. Regan, 68, of New Tripoli, died Feb. 3, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He and his wife Gail P. (Wilson) Regan were married 45 years last September.
Born in Jersey City, N.J., he was a son of the late Jeremiah and Isabel (Grennan) Regan.
He was an electrical engineer for F.L. Smidth, Bethlehem, for 40 years.
He lived by the philosophy we are all here on earth to help one another, and he was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone who needed it.
Margarete Eleanor Holt Parker died peacefully Feb. 5, 2018, in Mosser Nursing Home, Trexlertown, after a brief illness.
Born Dec. 2, 1930, of German immigrant parents, Gustav and Elfriede Holt, in Long Beach, N.Y., she graduated from Long Beach High and attended Mt. Sinai School of Nursing, New York City.
Upon graduation, she married Desmond Risley Parker of Madison, N.Y., at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Long Beach, and moved to Oceanside, Long Island, N.Y., where she worked as a registered nurse at South Nassau Communities Hospital for 35 years.
Thomas H. “Oak” Hadesty, 71, of Schnecksville died Feb. 5, 2018.
He and his wife Patricia A. (Reppert) Hadesty were married 45 years last April 29.
Born Oct. 20, 1946, in Coaldale, he was the son of the late Stanley J. and Kathryn (Follweiler) Hadesty.
He was a machine operator at Packaging Corp. of America for 23 years before retiring in 1988.
A member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Tamaqua, he served there as a deacon.
Annaman James “Bud” Lynn, 90, of Slatington, died Jan. 29, 2018, in Westminster Village, Allentown.
Born July 5, 1927, in Allentown, he was the son of the late William R. and Anna Mae (Frichtman) Lynn.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a machine adjustor from 1967-92 at Boise Cascade Company, formerly in Allentown.
Dale H. Schneck, 88, of Schnecksville, died Jan. 31, 2018, in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.
He and his wife Anna M. (Zuanet) Schneck were married 64 years last June 13.
Born June 19, 1929, in Schnecksville, he was the son of the late Herbert and Olive M. (Reitz) Schneck.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era earning the rank of corporal.
While serving, he worked as a guided missile instructor at Fort Bliss, Texas.
Charles F. Kehnel, 87, died Feb. 2, 2018, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Charles and Francis (Knauss) Kehnel.
A 1948 graduate of Allentown High School, he played football and basketball under the legendary J. Birney Crum.
He attended National Agricultural College, now Delaware Valley University, for two years, before being drafted to serve in the Army during the Korean War at Fort Knox, Ky.
Jane E. Krasulak, 73, of Fogelsville, died Jan. 31, 2018.
She and her husband Steven Krasulak were married 49 years.
Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late James S. and Evelyn S. (Kemmerer) McNabb.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Fogelsville.
After graduating from William Allen High School, she earned her nursing degree from Allentown Hospital School of Nursing.
She loved her years as a nurse while helping people and working for family practices, eventually retiring from Lehigh Valley Hospital.
