Michael J. Barrall, 56, of Walnutport, died Sept. 27, 2018, in his home.
Born March 24, 1962, in Fountain Hill, he was the son of the late Paul H. and Dorothy M.E. (Remaley) Barrall.
He was an equipment operator for several construction companies.
His survivors include a sister Carol E. Whymeyer (William) of Walnutport; niece Amanda H. Heil (Jason) with whom he resided; and nephew, Jeremiah J. Darabaris of Allentown.
His service will be private. There will be no calling hours.

Donald R. Wieand, 84, of Allentown, died Sept. 27, 2018, in his home.
He was the husband of the late Jean M. (Eisenhard) Wieand.
Born Aug. 16, 1934, in Stiles, Whitehall Township, he was the son of the late Martin C. and Ella H. (DeLong) Wieand.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War era.
A water treatment technician at Lucent Technologies, Allentown, for 20 years, he retired in 2001.
Before that, he was a mechanic for the former Modern Transfer, Allentown.
Lamont Russell Grim, 72, of Fogelsville, died Sept. 28, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He and his wife Sandra M. (Bond) Grim were married 46 years on Sept. 2.
Born Feb. 15, 1946, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Russell A. Grim and Elaine S. (Hartranft) Grim Schweitzer.
He was a specifications clerk at Mack Truck Headquarters, Allentown, for 44 years before retiring in 2010.
Before that, he was briefly employed at Allen Organ, Macungie, and Imperial Auto, Schnecksville.
Thomas Michak Sr., 83, formerly of Kempton, died Sept. 29, 2018, in Kutztown Manor, Kutztown.
He was the husband of the late Shirley M. (Leibensperger) Michak, who died in 2002.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late William and Eva (Schmoyer) Michak.
He was a boiler maker for the former McDermotts Steel Company, Allentown, for more than 30 years.
Joseph Arthur Spence, 75, of New Tripoli, died Sept. 26, 2018, in Cedarbrook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Fountain Hill.
He and his wife Dolores Ann (Mordosky) Spence were married 44 years.
Born in Wilmington, Del., he was the son of the late Arthur Neil and Callista (Connell) Spence.
He was a field and quality control inspector at Air Products and Chemical Inc., Trexlertown, for 20 years before retiring.
He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield, and the Knights of Columbus, Council 10921.
Grant L.K. Hess, 57, of Orefield, died Sept. 24, 2018.
Born June 6, 1961, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Grant and Grace (Adams) Hess and longtime companion of Tammy A. Walker.
A supervisor at Allen Organ Co., Macungie, for 40 years, he was a member of the Alburtis Rod and Gun Club and the Macungie Fire Company.
In addition to his companion, he is survived by sisters Gale I. Hess of Allentown, Bonnie D. Frantz of Allentown, and Karen R. Hoffman of Allentown, and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Bryant.
George W. Fritz, 75, of Topton, died Sept. 30, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He and his wife Joyce G. (Smith-Kunkel) Fritz celebrated 50 years of marriage in July.
Born in Snyders, he was a son of the late Lewis and Jennie (Kunkel) Fritz.
A 1961 graduate of Kutztown High School, he was later a heavy equipment operator, last working at Empire Excavating in Reading, before retiring in 2008.
He was a veteran in the Vietnam War having served with the U.S. Marine Corps.
Carol A. Smith, 57, from Allentown, died on Sept. 26, 2018, in ManorCare Health Services, Allentown.
Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Marlene (Erb) Souders.
She was a payor log analyst at Community Health Systems, Bethlehem, for many years.
Her survivors include a son Zachary R. Smith and a brother Charles Souders.
Funeral services will be private.

Mary “Jean” Vogelsong, 91, of Allentown, died Sept. 25, 2018, at home.
She was the widow of Ralph M. Vogelsong.
Born in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late Walter E. and Dorothy M. (White) Baylett.
She was an assembler for Allen Organ Company for 10 years.
Ruby J. Frederick, 94, of Allentown, died on Sept. 17, 2018, in her son’s home in Allentown.
She was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Long) Musselman.
She was a machine setter and operator at Buffalo Woven Labels, Pennsburg. She loved her dogs.
Her survivors include sons Demas and wife, Diane Frederick, of South Whitehall, Timothy Frederick of Fleetwood, and Roy and wife, Sandy Brown; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her children Janis, Leonard and Deborah.
