Trevor S. Rohr, 43, of Orefield, died June 29, 2018.
Born July 16, 1974, in Catasauqua, he was the son of the late Robert H. and Linda S. (Horn) Rohr.
He was a home health aide at Maximum Care, Whitehall.
His survivors include a brother, Christopher R. Rohr and his wife, Melissa, of Ephrata; uncles Terry L. Rohr of Orefield, Henry T. Rohr Jr. of Portage, Wis.; niece Abigail; and nephew Zachary.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. on July 10 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Dr. David Charles Smith officiating.
Elizabeth A. “Betty” Phillips, 86, formerly a Third Street resident of Whitehall, died peacefully June 26, 2018, in Luther Crest retirement community, surrounded by her loving and dedicated family.
She and her husband Ronald W. Phillips were married 48 years at the time of his death in 2009.
Born in Swoyersville, she was a daughter of the late Thomas F. and Ethel C. (Lewis) Mack.
She was a floor supervisor and payroll clerk at the former Percy Brown’s Cafeteria and then Seafood Shanty in the Whitehall Mall for very many years.
Mary Kathryn Surdoval, 89, of Macungie, died peacefully June 28, 2018, at home, surrounded by her family.
She was the loving wife of the late John A. Surdoval, to whom she was married more than 58 years until his death in 2014.
Their wedding took place at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Carbondale.
Born Sept. 6, 1928, in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Loretta (Duffy) Doyle.
She graduated from Ben Franklin High School and Lackawanna Junior College.
Richard J. Geschel, 77, of Fogelsville, died June 23, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He was the husband of Neola C. (Steiner) Geschel.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Joseph and Emma (Schlener) Geschel.
An assembler at Mack Trucks Inc. for 32 years, he also served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Fogelsville.
A volunteer firefighter with the Fogelsville Fire Company for 25 years, he was currently serving as a trustee.
Beatrice A. Middlecamp, 89, of Slatington, formerly of Allentown, died June 21, 2018.
She was a daughter of the late Henry A. and Estella (Fenstermaker) Kern.
A presser in the garment industry, she was formerly a member of Ziegels Church, Breinigsville.
She loved bus trips to the casino, Sunday car rides and fast food.
She enjoyed country music shows at Alburtis Park and was known to yodel at a moment’s notice.
Donald O. Lichtenwalner, 91, of Schnecksville, died June 22, 2018, in Arden Courts of Allentown.
He was the husband of the late Ruth K. (Burcaw) Lichtenwalner.
Born Oct. 5, 1926, in Breinigsville, he was the son of the late Oscar and Lillian (Moyer) Lichtenwalner.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II with the rank of private first class.
He was employed at Mack Trucks Inc., Allentown, for 24 years before retiring in 1988.
William J. “Bill” Darnell, 58, of Lower Mt. Bethel Township, Easton, died June 21, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus, with his loving and dedicated family by his side.
He and his wife Jean E. (Yeager) Darnell were married 12 years.
Born in Flemington, N.J., he was the son of the late William J. and Lillian (Sporman) Darnell.
He was a model maker for Follett Corp., Forks Township, for 26 years.
Doris (Hicks) Schwolow, 98, from Allentown, formerly of New Bern, N.C., died June 26, 2018, in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall.
She was the widow of Raymond K. Schwolow.
She has one daughter living locally, Patricia L. Shaw and her husband, Charles T., of Fogelsville.
Her memorial service will be announced later and will take place in New Bern.

Frank C. Rothdeutsch, 79, of Whitehall, died peacefully June 24, 2018, in Fellowship Community, Whitehall, with his loving and dedicated family at his side.
He and his wife Antoinette “Toni” (Gutleber) Rothdeutsch celebrated 53 wonderful years of marriage.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Frank W. and Hilda (Yandrasitz) Rothdeutsch.
He was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church.
A 1956 graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School, he attended St. Bonaventure University.
Edward S. Allwine Jr., 88, of Schnecksville, died June 20, 2018, in Hometown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Tamaqua.
He was the husband of the late Dorothy M. (Fox) Allwine.
Born July 5, 1929, in New York City, N.Y., he was the son of the late Edward S. Sr. and Emily G. (Grimes) Allwine.
He was a supervisor at the former Western Electric, Allentown, for 38 years before retiring in 1988.
As a young adult, he was a smoke jumper for the National Forestry Service in Idaho for several months.
