Elmer E. Daneker, 86, died peacefully Dec. 24, 2018.
Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Elmer and Ruth (Thomas) Daneker.
He was the loving husband of the late Patricia A. (Arndt) for more than 50 years.
After graduating from Palmerton High School, he proudly joined the Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict and earned the rank of staff sergeant.
He was honored to be included as part of the Palmerton Area Veterans Memorial.
Irma S. Buchman, 88, formerly of Center Valley and Coopersburg, died Jan. 1, 2019, in Phoebe Home, Allentown.
She was the wife of the late George F. Buchman.
Born Oct. 22, 1930, in Whitehall, she was the daughter of the late Howard J. and Beatrice S. (Yocum) Rhoads.
She was employed at the former Emmaus Telephone Co. and M.S. Young, Allentown, before retiring.
She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, Center Valley.
She will always be remembered for her care for animals and in particular, dogs.
Rodnie L. Gruber, 45, from Slatington, died on Dec. 20, 2018, in his home.
Born Oct. 21, 1973, in Allentown, he was the son of Allen C. Gruber Sr. with whom he resided and the late Ruth L. (Jones) Gruber, who died last April.
He owned and operated Gruber Concrete Inc. for the last 25 years.
An avid outdoorsman, he especially enjoying hunting, and formerly drove a racing car at Mahoning Speedway.
Elaine Rowlands, 87, of Slatington, died Jan. 6, 2019, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill.
She and her husband Charles E. Rowlands were married 67 years last Oct. 20.
Born Sept. 22, 1931, in Slatington, she was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Evelyn Mae (Krause) Fenstermacher.
She was a member of United Presbyterian Church, Slatington.
Julia M. Moroz, 93, formerly of Emmaus, died Jan. 3, 2019, in Luther Crest, South Whitehall, where she resided.
She was the wife of the late Eugene Moroz.
Born Aug. 2, 1925, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Julia (Fisher) and Alexander Kuhar.
She was a longtime member of Brookside Country Club, Macungie, and enjoyed bowling and golfing with her husband and friends.
In addition, she was an avid bridge player and enjoyed traveling abroad.
She and her husband also enjoyed being snow birds in Florida for many years.
Donald R. Roth, 68, of Slatington, died unexpectedly Jan. 3, 2019, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.
Born Nov. 20, 1950, in Northampton, he was the son of the late Ralph J. and Marilyn E. (Peters) Roth.
He and his wife, Visitacion “Bess” (Orayan) Roth, were married 47 years in February 2018.
A graduate of Parkland High School, he served honorably as an EN3 in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
June E. Bennett, 88, of Breinigsville, died Dec. 31, 2018.
She was the widow of Williams J. Bennett.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Elizabeth Hrewniak.
She will have a private Mass of Christian Burial.

Carol A. Campfield, 80, of Bethlehem, formerly of Schnecksville, died on Dec. 31, 2018, in Gracedale nursing home, Nazareth.
She and her husband Ronald Campfield were married 60 years last May.
Born Sept. 3, 1938, in Sunbury, Northumberland County, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Bastian) Fenstermacher.
She was an administrative assistant for the UAW Local 677, Allentown, for five years before retiring.
Before that, she was employed in the same capacity at Mack Trucks Inc., Allentown, for 17 years.
Jean Husack, 93, of Durham, N.C., formerly of Schnecksville, died Jan. 4, 2019 in the home of her son, Chris F., of Durham.
Born Nov. 3, 1925, in Schnecksville, she was the daughter of the late George F. and Perma A. (Schneck) Bachman.
She was a legislative aide for former state Rep. Paul W. Semmel, Schnecksville, for six years before retiring in 1996.
Before that, she was a secretary for Royal Eckert Inc., Allentown, for 20 years, and Union United Church of Christ, Neffs for 20 years as secretary, recording secretary and treasurer.
Ronald C. Sechler, 85, of Orefield, died on Dec. 31, 2018, in At Home at Parkland, Schnecksville.
He and his wife Marilyn L. (Remaley) Sechler were married 63 years last July 2.
Born Dec. 16, 1933, in Fogelsville, he was the son of the late Henry and Grace (Klotz) Sechler.
A two-term road supervisor, he worked for North Whitehall Township for 15 years.
He was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, Community Fire Company No. 1, Schnecksville, and the Fogelsville Fire Company.
