William A. Flamish of Whitehall died peacefully Sept. 1, 2018, at home surrounded by his family.
He and his loving wife, Doris (Clauser) Flamish, recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.
Born in Allentown he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Yanger) Flamish.
His first love was his family.
He was a devoted husband, proud father and adoring grandfather who taught by example.
A lifelong athlete, coach, mentor, professional and family man, he touched many lives.
Carl H. Griffin, 66, of Schnecksville died on Sept. 5, 2018, in his home.
He and his wife, Anne M. (Ruddy) Griffin, were married 14 years.
Born Jan. 15, 1952, in Pampa, Texas, he was the son of the late Carl H. Sr. and Priscilla M. (Perry) Griffin.
He was a production coordinator at BASF Corp. and Gulf Oil before retiring.
An avid outdoorsman, he was a member of the Allentown Hiking Club, Lehigh Gap Nature Center, the Sierra Club and Appalachian Trail Conservancy.
Richard W. Muller, Jr. 73, of Bethlehem, died peacefully Sept. 4, 2018, in his home.
He and his wife Barbara Kay (Bittner) Muller were married 53 years.
Born Oct. 26, 1944, in Fountain Hill, he was the son of the late Richard W. Sr. and Jeanette R. (Neith) Muller.
A 1962 graduate of Parkland High School, he was a member of the varsity basketball and baseball teams.
In 1966, he graduated from Moravian College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics, business administration and accounting.
MaryJane Funk, 75, of Kempton, died Sept. 9, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
She and her husband Arthur L. Funk were married 46 years last month.
Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Edna (Gorrich) Gittings.
She was a teacher at Little People’s Day Care, Allentown, for 10 years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the yearly family vacation to the Outer Banks.
Barry J. Henning, 65, of Coplay, died Sept. 2, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He and his wife Kim A. (Litzenberger) Henning were married more than 19 years.
Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Harley and Mae (Kimminour) Henning.
For 31 years, he worked in various departments including mostly with customer service at C.F. Martin & Co., Inc., Nazareth.
He enjoyed collecting Zippo lighters, listening to music, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.
Carolyn F. Daniels, 87, formerly of Fleetwood, died on Aug. 30, 2018, at the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown.
She was the wife of the late Frank E. Daniels.
Born in New Tripoli, she was a daughter of the late Vernon J. and Maggie C. (Fister) Snyder.
She attended Lynn Township public schools and was a 1948 graduate of Slatington High School and a 1949 graduate of Allentown Business College.
She was employed by radio station WSAN in Allentown and was also secretary to the dean of Kutztown University for 14 years, eventually retiring in 1973.
Jon K. Perry, 62, of Dundalk, Md., died Sept. 7, 2018.
He was the fiancé of Carol Frey of Neffs.
He was in the Merchant Marines for 20 years.

Lucille G. Leickel, 74, of Slatington, died Sept. 1, 2018, in her home.
She was the wife of the late David G. Leickel who died in June.
Born Jan. 12, 1944, in Danielsville, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mable M. (Fritz) Kern.
She was employed at L.V.R. Inc., Schnecksville, for 20 years before retiring.
She was a baptized member of Christ Lutheran Church, Danielsville.
Her survivors include a daughter Lisa A. Leickel of Slatington; granddaughter Amanda L. Delich of Macungie; and great-grandchildren Alexander, Nikolas and Andrew.
Charles F. Hoppes, 92, of Slatington, died peacefully Aug. 31, 2018 in his home surrounded by his loving family.
He and his wife Dorothy (Webb) Hoppes were married 71 years.
Born Dec. 8, 1925, in Washington Township, he was the son of the late Leon and Helen (Frantz) Hoppes.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
A self-employed carpenter, he built residential homes and did renovations for 45 years before retiring.
Dolores K. Brown, 88, of Allentown, died Sept. 1, 2018 in her home.
She was the wife of the late Joseph H. Brown.
Born March 11, 1930, in Askam, Luzerne County, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Margaret (Zofcin) Kammerer.
She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield, where she was a former member of the Women’s Guild and enjoyed volunteering her time making pierogies for the church festival.
She also enjoyed making hoagies for the Kay Brook-Green Hills swim team.
