Civil War

Civil War Round Table of Eastern Pennsylvania Inc., will host David Dixon, author researcher for a discussion titled “The Lost Gettysburg Address” Nov. 7 at the Holiday Inn Conference Center Lehigh Valley, 7736 Adrienne Drive, Breinigsville.

Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. and program 7:30 p.m.

Reservations for the dinner must be made by Nov. 2.

No reservations required for the program.

There is a fee for both the dinner and program.

Craft Fair

Jordan Lutheran

Jordan Lutheran Church, 5103 Snowdrift Road, Orefield, will be celebrating its 25th annual Fall Craft Fair 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 18.

There will be over 50 crafters, delicious soups, barbecues, pies and other baked goods.

Eat in or take out available.

There will also be great Christmas gifts.

This year’s Chinese auction proceeds will be donated to Tails of Valor, providing rehabilitation through non-medical therapies with service canines to Veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain injury and physical disability.

Ziegels Union Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, will be holding its fourth annual Holiday One-Stop Shop 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 4 at the church.

There will be over 20 vendors present to accommodate all of your shopping needs.

There will also be raffles from some of the vendors.

Food will be available for sale.

Help chemotherapy cancer patients this holiday season by participating in the basket raffle during the event.

Union Lutheran Church, 5500 Route 873, Schnecksville, will be having a fall basket party 5-8 p.m. Oct. 27 and 9-3 p.m. Oct. 28.

Kitchen will be open both days.

Kids in Halloween costumes will have a chance to win a big basket.

Attendees will receive a free sheet of tickets with a grocery bag full of non-perishable food items, toiletries and paper products for the local food banks.

Cedarbrook Nursing Home, 350 S. Cedarbrook Road, South Whitehall, is having a holiday bazaar 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Nov. 10.

There will beautiful handmade crafts, decorations, fashion accessories, baked goods, plants, jewelry, a white-elephant sale and more.

Refreshments, including homemade cabbage and noodles, will be available.

The bazaar is open to the public.

Proceeds benefit Cedarbrook residents.

Jacob’s Church, 8373 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, will host its annual oyster supper 3-7 p.m. Nov. 4 in the activity center.

Menu includes shrimp, fried oysters, oyster stew and pie, fresh cut fries, barbecue, pepper cabbage and fried shrimp platters.

Dessert includes cakes, pies, lemon strip, coconut and fruit pies.

The activity center is handicapped accessible.
