Trick-or-Treat night in Lynn Township is set for 6-8 p.m. Oct. 26.

Drive carefully and watch out for little goblins and ghosts walking along the roadways.

Ebenezer UCC, New Tripoli, will be hosting a Halloween costume party 6-9 p.m. Oct. 26.

After the kids have finished trick-or-treating, stop in for some Halloween fun! They are planning games and crafts for all.

There will be yummy and creepy snacks, as well as prizes for the best costumes.

Come and join the fun and bring a friend or two.

Choices, which include Italian, ham and cheese, turkey, roast beef or tuna salad, may be ordered until Oct. 29.

Morgenland Church having game night

Members of Morgenland Church, Leather Corner Post, Orefield, are cooking up a spaghetti dinner 4-7:30 p.m. Nov. 2.

Meal includes the spaghetti with homemade meatballs, salad, garlic bread, beverages and homemade desserts.

There will also be a homemade pie sale and basket raffle.

New Tripoli and Lynnport volunteer firefighters remind all residents to check the batteries in their smoke detectors during National Fire Prevention Week, Oct. 6-12. It only takes about five minutes and can save your life.

Ebenezer UCC, New Tripoli, will host its annual fall bazaar 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 12.

There will be a huge flea market, plus a smaller flea market for kids' games and toys.

The bake sale will include a wide array of baked goods, as well as homemade soups, jams and more.

H.A.R.P going to nature center

Spread the word! On Oct. 2, Heidelberg Association for Retired Persons, better known as H.A.R.P. invites any retiree in the area to join them as they take a road trip to the Lehigh Gap Nature Center, Slatington.

H.A.R.P. members will first enjoy a leisurely lunch at Bert's Restaurant, Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, and then travel to the nature center for a one-hour tour.
