Clark K. Hamm, 88, of New Tripoli, died Aug. 30, 2012, at home.

He and his wife, Ethel L. (Reppert) Hamm, were married 63 years in March.

Born in New Tripoli, he was a son of the late Frank and Viola (Kistler) Hamm.

A 1940 graduate of the former Slatington High School, he was a self-employed farmer and excavating contractor in New Tripoli since 1963.

From 1950-63, he worked for his father-in-law, Clayton P. Reppert, as an excavator in Edenburg and drove tractor-trailer freight for Ralph Weaver, Inc. along the Eastern Seaboard until 1950.

Group to meet on Sept. 6

Allentown AARP Chapter 5415 will meet noon Sept. 6, at St. Timothy's Church, 140 S. Ott St., Allentown.

The program will feature David Kalinoski, associate state director of AARP, Harrisburg, who will present a game named Fraud Bingo.

A business meeting will follow the program.

Am Haskalah, the Jewish Reconstructionist Congregation of the Lehigh Valley, invites the community to join them for meaningful, spiritual, musical and creative Rosh Hash-anah and Yom Kippur services.

This year, the congregation is participating in the Jewish Reconstructionist Movement's Open Seats Program, which enables them to offer High Holiday Services to anyone in the Lehigh Valley who wishes to attend.

Forrest A. "Bushy" Hunsicker, 80, of Kempton, formerly of Fleetwood, died Sept. 3, 2012, in his home.

Born in Lenhartsville, he was a son of the late Homer S. and Anne (Guildner) Hunsicker.

He was a meat cutter for Peter's Brothers Meat Market, Lenhartsville, from 1945-67 and later briefly for the former Armor and Co., Reading.

From 1967-69, he worked for the Thriftway Meat Markets.

He later owned and operated his own painting business, specializing in barns with hex signs and also new home construction, from 1969 until retiring in 2009.

seamstress in Lehigh Valley

Clara S. Snyder, 88, of Allentown, died Aug. 29, 2012, in Phoebe Home, Allentown.

She and her husband, John W. Snyder, were married 50 years in June.

Born in Kutztown, she was a daughter of the late Calvin F. and Sallie (Moyer) Moyer.

A seamstress in the Lehigh Valley for many years, she was a member of VFW Post 5954 Ladies Auxiliary, Red Hill.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a brother, Ray Moyer and wife, Judy, of Fogelsville; nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters.
