Cyber safety talk on Oct. 25

The public is invited to cyber safety night for parents 6-8 p.m. Oct. 25 in Northwestern Lehigh High School's auditorium.

FBI Special Agent Cerena Coughlin will be the guest speaker. She will tell parents how to keep children safe online.

Not all of the content of her presentation is appropriate for young children.

Craft show on Nov. 3, 4

Lehigh Valley Chapter of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen will be having its 27th annual Holiday Marketplace Fine Art and Craft show 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Nov. 3 and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 4 at Swain School, Salisbury Township.

The show will feature more than 40 local artisans associated with the LVPGC along with selected others, each offering handmade high quality art and fine crafts made within the greater Lehigh Valley area.

Artisans will be on hand to discuss their work as they offer jewelry, pottery, woodcraft, photography and a variety of art for sale.

Naval reunion set for Oct. 18

SALTS trained at and members of Sampson World War II Naval Station, Seneca Lake, N.Y., and retired Navy veterans of other conflicts are invited to a fall luncheon noon Oct. 18. The event will take place at Haag's Hotel, Third and Main Sts., Shartelsville.

'Super Saturday' teacher seminar

Lehigh Carbon Community College's (LCCC) Teacher Education department hosts the annual "Super Saturday" teacher education seminar, Literacy: Connecting Through All Curriculum Areas, 7:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. Nov. 3, main campus, Route 309, Schnecksville. Proceeds benefit the Teacher Education Resource Scholarship Fund.

Training certificates will be awarded. Workshops meet Department of Public Welfare Act 48, Keystone Stars and Continuing Education Units requirements.
