School counselors seek donations of gift cards

Thursday, December 13, 2012 by The Press in School

Northwestern Lehigh High School Guidance Counselors Erica Gross, Carissa Snyder and Angela Traub want to continue the tradition of making Christmas a little more special for some high school students in the district.

They have identified at least 48 families who could use help this holiday season.

The families will remain anonymous. Only the guidance counselors will have contact with them.

Purchase a gift card, such as Giant, Weis, Walmart, Kohl's or Target, to be given to these families.

Santa Claus is coming to town

Santa Claus is coming to the Laurys Station area again this year.

He will travel atop a fire truck about 20 miles or so to visit homes and businesses.

The Jolly Ol' Elf also visits private parties for one child or a large group of children but not on Christmas Eve, as Santa is very busy delivering presents.

The visit is done with great love for all children, no matter the age (6 months to 80 years young).

Santa will visit large gatherings with parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents and friends from near and far.
