American Legion Post 16 is having Veterans Day services 10:15 a.m. Nov. 11 at Ebenezer United Church of Christ, New Tripoli.

Legionaires, Auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion will lead the service. Buglers will play "Taps."

Members of the post who want to car pool should be at the post home at 9:30 a.m.

Jordan Tyler Steinmetz, 14, of Upper Macungie Township, died Oct. 26, 2012.

Born in El Paso, Texas, he was the son of Johnny E. and Madalene (Lopez) Steinmetz Jr.

He was in the eighth grade at Springhouse Middle School.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by sisters Alysia and Ashley; brother Joshua; nephew Andyn; paternal grandmother Betty Steinmetz; maternal grandparents, Nelida and Albert Albino; and maternal great-grandmother Rosa Albino.

Allentown Band will be having its annual holiday dinner concert 7 p.m. Nov. 20 at the Holiday Inn Conference Center, Fogelsville.

Frances Duffey will be on the harp and Jason Ham, of the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, will play the euphonium.

Craft show on Nov. 3, 4

Lehigh Valley Chapter of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen will be having its 27th Holiday Marketplace Fine Art and Craft show 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Nov. 3 and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 4 at Swain School, Salisbury Township.

The show will feature more than 40 local artisans associated with the LVPGC along with selected others, each offering handmade high quality art and fine crafts made within the greater Lehigh Valley area.

Artisans will be on hand to discuss their work as they offer jewelry, pottery, woodcraft, photography and a variety of art for sale.

Craftfest on Nov. 10, 11

The Women's Guild of St. Joseph the Worker Church in Orefield is having its annual Craftfest from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Nov. 10 and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 11 in the Parish Center.

This event will feature beautiful crafts and themed gift baskets, just in time for holiday shopping.

The Unique Boutique has vendor displays offering more gift ideas. Children can buy affordable presents for family members at the Santa Shoppe.

Santa will stop in for a visit on Saturday.

Christopher Scot Lloyd II, 31, of South Whitehall Township, died Sept. 15, 2012.

He was the son of Joel W. and Lucille D. (Geist) Maletsky.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Nov. 10, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 4102 S. Church St., Whitehall.

Memorials in his name may be made payable to the ALS Association, an organization he strongly supported, c/o Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland St., Allentown, PA 18102.

The Allentown Music Club will present "Music of America" 3 p.m. Nov. 4 at Hope UCC, 1031 Flexer Ave., Allentown.

Performers will be Jonathan Beitler, Dan Rambo, Robert Premecz, Santa Peters and Young Musicians Andrew Kanas, Emily Ferrol and Carina Wetherhold.

The program is dedicated to the Parade of American Music sponsored by the National Federation of Music Clubs.

Kathleen R. Kerr, 85, formerly of Vero Beach, Fla., died Oct. 27, 2012, in Lehigh Center, Lower Macungie Township.

She was the widow of Robert W. Kerr to whom she was married for 58 years before he died in 2007.

Born in Johnstown, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Elsie (Mayer) Colville.

She loved taking cruises with her husband and friends at Vero Beach and fishing.

She also enjoyed gardening, crafts, bingo, swimming, camping, baking and spending time with her family.
