Armand C. Benincasa, 61, of Breinigsville, died Dec. 31, 2012, at home.
He and his wife Elsa M. (Aull) Benincasa were married 28 years in October 2012.
He was a self-employed commercial project manager for 42 years.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Armando and Rose (Vozza) Benincasa.
As a member of the Elks, he was a master carpenter and built ramps for children who needed wheelchairs.
He also was a member of the Old Time Plowboys.
An avid Green Bay Packers fan, he also loved the Brooklyn Dodgers.
The Rural Preservation Association of Northwestern Lehigh County asks community members to save old Christmas light strings for the annual CleanSweep recycling event in April.
The lights will be donated to the Slatedale-Emerald Lions Club for recycling.

Alisha M. Heilman, 28, of Kempton, died Jan. 2, 2013, after being in a two-vehicle accident on Route 100, Lowhill Township.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of Joseph E. and Patricia K. (Magee) Heilman Jr. of Kempton, with whom she resided.
She was a stylist at Outlooks for Hair salon and a bartender at Rascal's Food and Fun, both in Allentown.
She also did part-time modeling.
She was a 2002 graduate of Conrad High School, Conrad, Mont.
Penn State Lehigh Valley will offer an SAT review course to help prepare test takers for the SAT exam 9 a.m.-noon Saturdays Jan. 12-March 2, 2013, at the Center Valley campus, 2809 Saucon Valley Road, Center Valley.
The course offers strategies for the verbal, critical reading and writing, and math portions of the exam.
Participants can develop effective critical reading and writing strategies, review essential mathematical skills and concepts and discover proven test-taking techniques.
The student aid office of Penn State Lehigh Valley, 2809 Saucon Valley Road, Center Valley, will host free financial aid workshops 6:30-8:30 p.m. Jan. 10 and 15 for high school students who are considering enrolling in higher education.

Daniel L. Herrlinger, 52, of New Tripoli, died Dec. 31, 2012, in his home, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
He and his wife Justine A. (Hartman) Herrlinger celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary June 20, 2012.
Born Dec. 27, 1960, in Sellersville, he was the son of Shirley Schwager of Red Hill and John Herrlinger and his wife, Mae, of Perkasie.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during a peacetime era.
