There will be early dismissal Feb. 16. Elementary students will be dismissed at noon.

Northwestern Middle School student Wyatt Newhard, who has been battling neuroblastoma since age 3, was the grand marshal of “Walk For Wyatt” during the Nov. 17, 2017, fundraiser.
Students in the middle school helped raise funds for Wyatt’s favorite charity, Star Treatments, which provides VIP rides to medical facilities for children battling cancer.
Family, friends, classmates and staff members, both current and from his years attending Weisenberg Elementary School, joined him for one hour on the track.

Cub Scout Pack 588 posted the colors and students who were members of several local Girl Scout Troops led The Pledge of Allegiance.
Fifth grade students wrote essays about what the flag meant to them.
Fourth grade students performed The Star-Spangled Banner, This Land is Your Land, and You’re a Grand Old Flag throughout the celebration.
Third grade students were asked to write letters to the veterans while Kindergarten, first and second grade students decorated the school lobby.
The Boosterthon assembly is scheduled for 2 p.m. Jan. 30.
The Boosterthon Fun Run will taking place throughout the day on Feb. 8.
Students will be raising funds for use in their school before the Fun Run.
There is an artist-in-residence coming to Weisenberg Feb. 1-14.
Carin Frost Olmstead of New Jersey will work with the students to create a mural outside the cafeteria.
The theme will be “What is it like to be a Weisenberg student.”

Students will help raise funds for Partners In Education to continue the fun activities the group sponsors at the school.
Ziegels Union Church, Breinigsville, had a Family Christmas Shoppe Advent Experience Dec. 10.
The day began with a light lunch, then a workshop with five stations including a manger, star, candy cane, angel and card.
At each station, participants learned about the birth of Jesus.
At the end of the event, everyone took home the five completed items to display for Christmas.

The high school will have its band and chorus concert 7 p.m. on Dec. 13 in the middle school auditorium.
Snow date is Dec. 14 for both the high school and middle school concerts.

The PTO is having its annual mitten drive Dec. 11-15.
