’Tis the season for yard sales! There will be treasures galore at Ontelaunee Park, Route 143, Lynn Township, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 28.

For office spring cleaning, there will be electronic recycling (certain fees apply) and document shredding.

New Tripoli Fire Company will have food for sale.

Ebenezer UCC, New Tripoli, is hosting a church parking lot sale on May 19.

Call the church at 610-298-8000 to reserve a spot.

Everyone is invited to come out and browse the various items on display.

Although off to a slow start, daffodils and tulips are poking up through the snow to let us know an end to winter is on its way.

Jacob’s Church, New Tripoli, is having its annual pig stomach dinner from 4-7 p.m. April 7.

Meal includes pepper cabbage, applesauce and homemade desserts.

Eat in or take out will be available.

NWLEF raises money to help teachers, students

Tigers Night Out, hosted by the Northwestern Lehigh Educational Foundation, was another success bringing money into the nonprofit’s coffers.

The event, held on Feb. 24 at the Lynnport Fire Company, featured dinner, music by the band, Amos, and raffles for all sorts of prizes.

Attendees could select from great donated items such as wine baskets, golf passes from Olde Homestead Golf Club, Eagles memorabilia, Northwestern Lehigh Tigers paraphernalia and tickets to IronPigs baseball games.

Peanut butter or coconut creme eggs, cottontails; peanut or raisin clusters; sweet and salty chocolate; and nonpareils are available in either milk or dark chocolate.

Ebenezer UCC’s Clothing Closet will be open 6-8 p.m. Feb. 8 and 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 10.

Clothing is available for the entire family.

Take as much as needed. Proof of need not required.

There are plenty of sweaters and winter apparel in stock.

Orders are due by Jan. 26, 2018. Pick up is 11 a.m. Feb. 7, 2018, at the fire station.

The large homemade hoagies come in the following varieties: Italian with or without onions, ham and cheese, tuna, or turkey on white or wheat rolls.

He’ll be swapping his sled for a shiny red fire truck.

Santa will be stopping by the fire station at noon Dec. 23.

The man in red will be swapping his sled for a shiny red fire truck to tour the community.

There is a small per person fee.
