Ebenezer UCC is cooking Italian

Boy Scout Troop 104, of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Krumsville, is having a fall craft and vendor fair 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Kempton Fire Company, 2461 Route 143, Kempton.

There will be homemade food, baked goods, apple dumplings and ice cream, and a silent auction.

Popcorn and first aid kits will be available for purchase.

Proceeds will benefit the Troop's 2015 trip to Philmont Scout Ranch and summer camp.

Where were you on 9/11? Today marks the 13th anniversay of the attacks on New York City, Washington, D.C., and Shanksville.

Some of the pain and sadness is still with the victims' families, so keep them in your thoughts and prayers. They can never forget.

The annual fall bazaar at Ebenezer Church, New Tripoli, will be presented 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 27.

The Women of Ebenezer are busy preparing a huge flea market, a kids' corner flea market, bake sale, book nook, crafts, quilting and a silent auction 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Registration begins at 8 a.m.

Northwestern Recreation Commission is hosting the 16th annual Night in the Country 4-10 p.m. Aug. 16. Rain date is Aug. 17. There will be a live country band, huge car cruise, DJ, Chinese auction, bingo, great food and activities.

To end the evening, a fireworks display is planned. Suggested admission donation is $3 for adults; $2 for children under 12.

Jacob's Church, New Tripoli, is having a Community Day celebration 5 p.m. June 27.

There will be free grilling and tractor show competitions.

There is $500 in prize money for the best grillers plus cash prizes for the top three tractors.
