The East Penn Conference and Colonial League held quarterfinal basketball playoff games over the weekend.

Both leagues have semifinals and finals set for this week.

In EPC boys action, top-seeded Allen beat Bethlehem Catholic 67-58 on Friday and will take on Parkland in the semifinals. The No. 5 seed Trojans topped No. 6 East Stroudsburg South, 57-52, on Saturday afternoon.

The other half of the boys bracket has No. 2 seed Liberty squaring off against No. 3 Central Catholic. The Hurricanes beat Freedom in the first round, while the Vikings beat Easton Friday.

The Central Catholic-Liberty game is slated for Monday at 6 p.m. at the PPL Center, with the Parkland-Allen game scheduled for 7:30.

The EPC girls semifinals will be Tuesday at the PPL Center, starting with a 6 p.m. game between No. 2 Nazareth and No. 3 Stroudsburg. The Blue Eagles beat Parkland in the first round, while the Mounties defeated Pocono Mountain West, 60-56, on Saturday.

The second game of Tuesday’s girls semifinal doubleheader will have top-seeded Bethlehem Catholic facing No. 4 Freedom at approximately 7:30 p.m. The Golden Hawks beat Easton in the first round, 64-49, while the Patriots downed Northampton, 57-50.

Boys and girls EPC finals will be played Thursday evening at the PPL Center.

In the Colonial League, where two boys and two girls teams have a bye in the quarterfinal round, a boys semifinal between No. 2 Moravian Academy and No. 6 Bangor will start Tuesday’s doubleheader at 6 p.m. at Catasauqua High School. The other boys semifinal, No. 1 Southern Lehigh vs. No. 4 Notre Dame (Green Pond), is slated for 7:30 p.m.

Bangor advanced to the semifinals with a 61-60 win over No. 3 Palmerton Saturday, while the Crusaders topped No. 5 Wilson 86-59.

Colonial League girls semifinals will be held Wednesday at Catasauqua. Top-seeded Notre Dame (Green Pond) faces No. 4 Bangor, while No. 2 Northwestern takes on No. 3 Moravian Academy.

The Slaters beat No. 5 Palmerton Saturday, 47-40, while the Lions advanced with a 62-27 win over No. 6 Wilson.

Colonial League finals are scheduled for Friday night at Freedom High School.
