Middle school game day is a hit with students

Fun and games reigned on Sept. 20 as Northwestern Lehigh Middle School’s PTO hosted its annual game day.

The weather was picture perfect, not too hot and not too cold.

There were clear skies and lots of kids.

Game Day is a one-day event that offers all sorts of games, activities and food as a welcome to all new students.

The incoming sixth grade enjoyed the festivities after school outdoors as well as indoors.

Each year, the PTO hosts this event to help students who may not know each other having come to the middle school from different elementary schools, form connections and have some fun before the school year gets into high gear.

“It’s always the first couple weeks of school,” PTO President Lori George said. “And it’s great for the kids.”
