The NYAA is working directly with Lehigh Valley Health Network to bring two opportunities to Weisenberg Elementary.

These lifesaving trainings are open to anyone in the community.

On Sept. 12 the Miller-Keystone Bloodmobile will be on site 2-7 p.m. Walk-in donations are welcome.

From 6-8 p.m. there will be free family and friends CPR training.

The CPR course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult hands-only CPR, adult CPR with breaths, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR, and mild and severe airway block for adults, children, and infants.

Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment using the American Heart Association’s practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible.

On Sept. 26 from 6- 9 p.m. a Heartsaver First Aid class will be offered for $25 per person.

Heartsaver First Aid is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrive.

Students learn duties and responsibilities of first aid rescuers; first aid actions for medical emergencies.

Anyone who takes the Heart Saver First Aid course and signs up as a NYAA coach in the 2019-20 year will be refunded the $25 course fee.
