School District News

Thursday, August 22, 2019 by BERNADETTE SUKLEY Special to The Press in School

Hi to all in the Northwestern Lehigh School District!

Let me introduce myself.

Although I’ve been in the area more than 20 years and I have written for The Northwestern Press previously, I’m new to this page.

I have been in publishing more than 25 years and I have written and published fiction and nonfiction books, short stories and articles.

A member of the Greater Lehigh Valley Writers Group, I served a year as the co-chair for its annual conference, The Write Stuff.

I have had three, soon-to-be four, kids to go through this school district, so I recognize quite a few faces.

I will be your contact and your conduit for all Northwestern Lehigh School District news.

Please send me your school-related events and pictures to

This page is for our schools and students.

According to Principal Maria Pulli on the webpage, the parent drop off location has changed.

If you are dropping off in the morning, enter the NWE lot by the marquee and drive up the far end of the parking lot between 8:45-8:55 a.m.

Then make a left in front of the administration building and drop off at the entrance by the cafeteria.

Then continue around the loop to exit the lot by the marquee.

Staff members will be directing the flow of traffic the first week.

Buses will begin to pull into the lot beginning at 8:55 a.m. and no cars will be allowed through.

If you arrive after that time you will need to park your car and walk your child to the white fence.

Northwestern will continue with the Terrific Tiger program this year.

As part of this program, the entire school commits to following the same expectations:

Take Responsibility;

I follow directions when given;

Give it my all;

Everyone stays safe; and

Respect one another.
