CHOSEN WORDS

Thursday, August 22, 2019 by The Press in Opinion

Never Give Up

I write about America, and the shape she’s in today;

I don’t like what’s happening, and want it to go away.

The only hope that gives me peace, is to talk to God, and pray

Not everyone believes in God,

So, that would be hard to do;

But, for those of you who do believe,

I ask for help from you.

Join the prayer for peace brigade,

Help stop the angry mob.

Spread hope and peace, wherever you go,

Perhaps, it just might stop.

I’m waiting and hoping for peace to come,

I pray it’s around the bend.

I hope all nations will soon be friends,

And the ugliness will end.

Never give up
