Orefield student takes part in rally
A group of seven Widener University honors students enrolled in a political science class on state and local government, recently traveled with Associate Professor Wes Leckrone to Harrisburg for Student Aid Advocacy Day.
Parker Robb of Orefield, a senior studying accounting, participated in this event.
Robb was among more than 200 students from 40 colleges and universities who took part in a rally at the state capitol April 9 and met with legislators.
Students lobbied their elected officials to protect the maximum Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency grant award of $4,123, which has been reduced from previous years.
