LOWHILL TOWNSHIP: Churches offering Easter events

Christ’s Church at Lowhill, 4695 Lowhill Church Road, New Tripoli, is hosting a free community breakfast and egg hunt with Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny April 13.

A breakfast of egg casseroles, hash brown casseroles, gluten free and regular pancakes, cream chipped beef, French toast, sausages, ham and beverages will be served from 9-11 a.m.

The egg hunt starts at 11 a.m. in the grove.

The church is accepting orders through April 14 for the Italian, ham and cheese, turkey, roast beef, tuna and veggie hoagie sale.

Supplies provided by Thompson’s Meat Market, Walnutport.

Pick up will be 5-6 p.m. April 24 at the church.

Holy Week at Christ’s Church at Lowhill will begin with a Palm Sunday Service 10 a.m. April 14, which will commemorate the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem.

Join them at 6 p.m. April 18 as they celebrate the acts of Jesus and the disciples at the Last Supper.

They will share a meal and communion together in the social hall.

There will be Good Friday service 7:30 p.m. April 19, which includes a dramatic service as they contemplate the last hours of the life of Jesus Christ.

Join them 10 a.m. April 21 for an uplifting service with Holy Communion and special music, as they celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

A spring penny party is scheduled for April 26.

Doors and kitchen open at 5:30 p.m. Game starts at 7 p.m.

Homemade food and desserts will be available. There will be a 50/50 drawing and music by DJ Jason.

Morgenland Sunday School, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, will have its annual Easter Egg Hunt 1 p.m. April 20.
