Wehr has three HRs this season
Several Northwestern Lehigh High School graduates are part of college athletic teams competing in the winter and spring seasons. Here’s a look at a few of them.
Junior shortstop/second baseman Brady Mengel has been a steady cog in the Mansfield baseball lineup since arriving on campus in 2017. Through 14 games this season, Mengel is batting .224 with four runs scored and two RBIs. He has a .982 fielding percentage; he tallied 17 RBIs as a sophomore and 14 as a freshman.
Moravian sophomore outfielder/catcher Brooke Wehr is off to a fast start this softball season for the Greyhounds. She is batting .377 with 16 RBIs thus far in just 18 games. Wehr has also hit three homeruns (and now has 16 for her two-year career) to go along with 23 runs scored this season.
Tyler Schreiner, a sophomore outfielder at Lehigh, has been productive for the Mountain Hawks so far this spring. In 12 games (10 starts), Schreiner is hitting .353 with 10 RBIs and eight runs scored. His 10 RBIs is tied for fifth-most on the team, and his .412 slugging percentage is the fourth-best.
Georgian Court freshman forward Leighanna Lister provided the Lions with some frontcourt depth this past winter hoops season. She averaged 1.3 points and 1.4 rebounds per game, including a season-best six points and two blocks against Bentley in the second game of her collegiate career.
