Edward C. Stoudt
Edward C. Stoudt, 95, of Allentown, died Jan. 24, 2019, at home.
He and his wife Kathryn A. (Trexler) Stoudt were married more than 28 years.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Irene (Nau) Stoudt, with whom he shared being a Gold Star parent to his late son Gordon E. Stoudt, who died while serving in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Clarence E. and Lillian I. (DeLong) Stoudt.
Before retiring, he worked as a lighting specialist for Crowder, Allen Electric.
He then retired from Lighting Fixture and Supply.
After graduating in 1941 from the former South Whitehall High School, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving in the Battle of the Bulge.
He was a member of Calvary Moravian Church, Allentown.
He will be greatly remembered as an eternal Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles and 76ers fan.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by stepchildren Gregory, Katie and Timothy Wardenski and Matthew Hoffman; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and beloved canine companions Fiona Gray and Miss Piggy.
He was predeceased by a brother Richard, sister Jeanne Mill and stepdaughter Alison Hoffman.
