Young Scouts with Girl Scout Daisy Troop 650 completed their first Take Action project in November for the Forgotten Felines and Fidos animal shelter in Germansville.

The troop includes 15 girls in kindergarten through first grade from the Northwestern Lehigh School District.

Girls in the troop include Kaylynn, Clara, Kara, Addilyn, Raelynn, Emily, Cameron, Brynn, Ella. Elle, Isa, Audrey, Riley, Micayla and Eva.

They created donation posters to help collect more than 130 pounds of Cat Chow, 165 cans of soft cat food, and over 80 other items.

The girls toured the shelter and were very excited to spend time with the cats.

They learned about the spay and neuter clinic and how they could help the animals at the shelter.
