Two involved

State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, say police were dispatched 2:36 p.m. on Oct. 24 for a disturbance in parking lot D at Lehigh Carbon Community College, 4525 Education Park Drive, North Whitehall Township.

Upon arrival, the trooper discovered two 19-year-olds from Lehigh County, were allegedly involved in a verbal argument that escalated.

Police allege one teen grabbed at the other’s neck causing visible red marks.

The latter teen allegedly kicked the first teen’s vehicle causing damage, police say.

Both were cited via non-traffic citations.

State Police Troop M, Fogelsville, say Tom Rink, 61, of Dalton, was driving a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta 2:42 p.m. on Nov. 10 on Route 22, Upper Macungie Township, when it collided with a 2016 Freightliner TK driven by Dennis Cole, 61, of Chesapeake, Ohio.

According to police, Rink was driving east in the left lane of travel, when he attempted to merge into the right.

His car was struck in the right, rear side by the Freightliner’s front left side, which was eastbound in the right lane of Route 22.

Rink lost control of his car which struck the concrete barrier that separates the east- and westbound lanes of Route 22.

Police say as the car struck the concrete barrier, it was struck by the truck on the left side.

Both vehicles then came to a controlled final rest on the southern shoulder of the roadway facing east.

Neither Rink or Cole, who were wearing their seat belts, were injured.

The Jetta was towed from the scene by Hauser’s Truck Service.

Both drivers were provided driver’s exchange reports and applications to obtain crash reports at the scene, police say.

Rink was cited for a traffic violation.
