Ralph E. Trumbower
Ralph E. Trumbower, 95, a former Allentown resident, died peacefully May 24, 2018, while a resident of Sacred Heart Senior Living, Center Valley.
He and his wife Charlotte M. (Schlicher) Trumbower were married 52 years.
Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of the late Elizabeth Keen.
He served with the U.S. Marine Corps. in the Central Pacific during WWII.
He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Allentown.
He retired as a conductor for Conrail and the former Bethlehem Steel PBNE railroad. and as a courier for Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network.
He was an avid bowler, golfer, and fan of the Eagles and Phillies.
He will be lovingly remembered, forever missed by his wife; daughters Sheri Lynn Gow and her husband, Steve, Charlene Trumbower and her spouse, Sharon Hanna; sons Rick Gehman and his wife, Kathleen, Butch Trumbower; grandchildren Brian Trumbower, Laura Gehman, Cameron and Tia Gow; great-grandchild Sage Trumbower; brother Robert Trumbower and loving nieces.
He was predeceased by grandson Christopher Trumbower; three brothers and one sister.
Services will be at 11 a.m. May 31 in Gilbert Funeral Home, 444 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall, PA 18052, where his family will receive guests beginning 10 a.m.
Interment with military honors will follow in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one’s favorite charity.
