S. Whitehall

South Whitehall Township police will be conducting a National Seat Check 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 17 at Target, 1600 N. Cedar Crest Blvd., in Crest Plaza shopping mall.

Certified child passenger safety technicians will be on hand to check car seats for proper installation and advise parents and caregivers how to choose the right car seats and install them properly in their vehicles.

Nationally certified child passenger safety technicians will check for recalls, ensure the seat is correct for the child and that both the harness and vehicle installation are correct and teach you how to make corrections, if found.

Inspections take approximately 30 minutes per car seat.

Pre-install the seats to the best of your ability and bring the car seat and vehicle owners manuals, if possible.

This event is free and open to the public.

Appointments are limited but walk-ups are welcome.

To schedule a recommended appointment, call South Whitehall police at 610-398-0337, Monday-Friday between 8 a.m.- 4 p.m.
