Juanita Tapper, 86, of Allentown, formerly of New Tripoli, died Dec. 30, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She and her husband Edward F. Tapper were married 59 years last May.

Born in Ewing, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Coleman Evans and Leila (Vice) (Evans) Lane.

She worked at Cottage Antiques and Crafts, South Whitehall, for many years.

She was a member of the former Northwestern Ambulance Corps.

A devoted wife and mother, she will be remembered most for her passion for cooking and genuine love of family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Eugene E. and wife, Micki, of New Tripoli; daughter Diana J. Karlson and husband, David, of Allentown; sisters Marie Wells of Tennessee and Amaryllis; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Evan F. and a sister, Shirley Adams.
