Santa Claus

How I love that little man! He’s always so jolly!

You hear his name and start to think of mistletoe and holly.

You think of Christmas trees, and pretty lights,

and snow on Christmas day.

You think of lots of presents, all packed up in his sleigh

Now we all know that Santa has a big, round, happy belly.

People say that when he laughs, it shakes around like jelly.

I heard that Santa used to be as skinny as a bat.

It’s all the milk and cookies that we leave that made him fat!

His eyes do have a twinkle, and his cheeks are red as roses.

As perfect as a cherry, is what I would say his nose is.

His suit is brilliant Christmas red. His boots are shiny bright.

He looks so soft and cuddly with his beard so snowy white.

The children get excited, but then, Moms and Dads do, too.

Can’t wait for Christmas day to see what Santa brought for you.

He gets the reindeer ready to fasten to the sleigh;

Then Rudolph turns his nose on, so he can light the way.

I really do love Christmas, and I always will, because,

You see, I have the best of reasons … I love Santa Claus!
