UPPER MACUNGIE: Churches having Christmas Eve services

St. John’s UCC, 1027 Church Road, Fogelsville, will have two Christmas Eve services.

The regular service will be 10:30 a.m. At the 7:30 p.m. service, there will be candlelight communion.

There will no Bible Study or Sunday School, but there will be a coffee hour after the 10:30 a.m. service.

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1028 Church Road, Fogelsville, will have three services with communion on Dec. 24.

The first service will be at 10:30 a.m. There will be a family service at 4 p.m. and a candlelight service at 10:30 p.m.

St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 8227 Hamilton Blvd., Trexlertown, will have a Christmas cookie and tea at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 10.

Bring some cookies to share. Tea will be provided.

There will be a Christmas Eve family service at 4 p.m. and a festival service at 9 p.m. Dec. 24.

Ziegels Church, 9999 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, will have a Christmas Shoppe on Dec. 10.

Children will hear the Christmas story, create Christmas symbols and participate in a worship service with their families.

There will be a light lunch in the fellowship room following the 11:05 a.m. service.

Children under age 3 must be accompanied by an adult.

Volunteers are needed to be crafters and bakers.

The church will have a Blue Christmas service 1 p.m. Dec. 17 in the sanctuary.

A soup lunch will be served following the 11:05 a.m. United Church of Christ service.

The Sunday School Christmas program will be presented 10 a.m. Dec. 24.

Parkland Community Library, 4444 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall Township, will offer Lil Builders for ages 2 and up with an adult 11 a.m. Dec. 8.

Come and play and build with the library’s amazing block collection, Magna-Tiles, and more.

The Senior Book Club will discuss “Night Circus” by Erin Morgenstern 3-4:30 p.m. Dec. 12 at Luther Crest retirement community, 800 Hausman Road, South Whitehall.

Sensory story time for kids ages 10 and under will be offered 6 p.m. Dec. 13.

Come play with scarves, sing songs, hear stories and make new friends.

This event is geared toward children who have a hard time in large groups, are on the autism spectrum, or are subject to sensory overload.

Parents, caregivers, siblings and therapists are welcome to attend.

The library is hosting Games We Love from 1-2:30 p.m. Dec. 15.

Come and have fun playing Bridge, Pinochle, Canata or Chess.

The library will show the movie “Holiday Inn” at its Brown Bag Classics 1 p.m. Dec. 18.
