NORTH WHITEHALL TOWNSHIP: Union Lutheran Church having holiday craft show

Thursday, November 16, 2017 by SUSAN RUMBLE Special to The Press in Columns

Union Lutheran Church, 5500 Route 873, Schnecksville, will host its annual holiday craft show 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Nov. 18.

Eighty-five crafters will be present with items such as jewelry, bird houses, floral arrangements, greeting cards, purses, embroidered and crocheted children’s apparel, fine art, photography, wooden crafts and more.

A Chinese auction and bake sale will be included. Breakfast and lunch will be available.

Here is a great opportunity to experience the holiday atmosphere while also looking for gifts for any occasion.

Call 610-767-6884 for more information.

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1415 Rising Sun Road, Laurys Station, welcomes all to a joyful Thanksgiving Eve service at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 22.

Construction of the new food stand in the Union United Church of Christ grove in Neffs is well underway.

Mild weather and rain free days enabled carpenters, concrete installers, electricians, plumbers, and others to make good progress on the building project.

Roofing contractors and masons will be the next workers on the scene.

The food stand will be ready for the many church activities next summer, including the annual Blues Nite Out and the Upper Lehigh Lions Club festival and craft show.

If you noticed scaffolding on the church roof recently, it was in place for removal and replacement of the chimney.
