Cedar Crest College students featured in Spring Dances'

Cedar Crest College Performing Arts presents "Spring Dances," 8 p.m. April 18, 19, 20, Samuels Theatre, Tompkins College Center, Cedar Crest College Allentown.

Artistic direction is by Cedar Crest College Associate Professor of Dance Robin Gerchman. Faculty choreographers are Pattie Bostick-Winn, Margo Clifford Ging and Nicole Hockenberry. Student choreographers are Marlana Hurd and Natalie Shute.

"This concert displays the eclectic versatility of the Cedar Crest Dance Company," said Gerchman. "The choreography is a blend of genres that will appeal to all audiences.

"In addition to the four faculty choreographers, Cat Cogliandro of the Nicholas Andre Dance Theatre, has joined us to set a work on some of the dancers.

"Two senior students, Natalie Shute and Marlana Hurd, were chosen to submit choreography for this concert and we are also excited to welcome a variety of local dance groups to join us this year: Lehigh Valley Charter Arts High School, Fusion Dance Company, and Tap Ties Dance Company," Gerchman said.

Lighting design is by Cedar Crest College Professor of Performing Arts Roxanne Amico and costume design and direction is by Rebecca Callan. Stage manager is Jessica Moody.
