It's time for A Night in the Country, one of our community's biggest events. It's also a reminder summer is nearly over, so get out and make the most of the nice weather.
Northwestern Lehigh High School girl's field hockey team is hosting a car wash 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Aug. 18 at Feinour's auto repair, Route 309, New Tripoli. A $5 donation would be appreciated.
Northwestern Recreation Committee will present the 14th year of "Night in the Country" 4-10 p.m. Aug. 18 at Northwestern Recreation Community Park, Route 309 and Northwest Road, New Tripoli. Rain date is Aug. 19.
There will be live country music, car cruise, Chinese auction, bingo, food and a fireworks display.
An admission donation will be accepted.
Miller-Keystone Blood Bank will be at "Night" 4-8 p.m. accepting blood donations.

Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Krumsville, will have its seventh annual Summer Fest 1-7 p.m. Aug. 25, rain or shine.
Entertainment, starting at 3 p.m. will feature The Majestics, Lester Miller's Hoe Downers and The Miller Brothers.
There will be games for adults and children, food, bake sale, basket raffle and flea market, as well as other fun activities.
