Wednesday, August 8, 2012 by The Press in Focus

The Bethlehem Redevelopment Authority and City of Bethlehem are giving a sneak peek of the new Bethlehem Visitor Center at SteelStacks during Musikfest, through Aug. 12.

The interactive visitor center, which will be open for guided and self-guided tours, is featuring several exhibits that highlight the region's arts and cultural attractions, history, industrial heritage and recreational opportunities.

Housed in the 1863 Stock House, the oldest remaining building on the SteelStacks campus, the Bethlehem Visitor Center is set to open this fall and will offer a variety of information and interactive displays on the Lehigh Valley's festivals, events, restaurants, attractions and more.

Hours during Musikfest are noon - 8 p.m. Aug. 11, 12; 5 - 8 p.m. Aug. 8, 9, and noon - 4 p.m. Aug. 10.

A staff member will be on hand during the festival to greet guests, offer tours and answer questions.
